The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old is part of our Sherry Oak line, which includes a number of single malt whiskies that have been aged entirely in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak barrels from Jerez for richness and depth. The 12 Years Old has a matured character that gives rich wood spice, dried fruits, and a natural rich gold colour.
Our rich, fruity, and full-bodied 'new make' spirit is converted into a traditional single malt by maturing only in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak barrels from Jerez, Spain. Once filled, the developing spirit is left undisturbed in the same barrels for 12 years before being blended to create this rich and complex whisky with notes of spice and dried fruit and a natural rich golden colour.
