Description
Alberta Premium Rye (PET) is an award-winning Canadian whisky made by Alberta Distillers Ltd. from grains primarily grown in western Canada. This smooth and full-bodied whisky features a deep, robust flavor with notes of caramel, oak, and just a hint of spice. It has a powerful, well-balanced finish with hints of dark chocolate, honey, and oak.
Alberta Premium Rye (PET) is distilled from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is bottled with an alcohol content of 40% by volume (80 proof). The whisky is aged in white oak barrels for four years prior to bottling.
Awards and recognition includes “Best North American Rye” at the World Whisky Awards, a gold medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and silver medals from the Canadian Whisky Awards in 2009, 2014, and 2016.
Alberta Premium Rye (PET) is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. It is perfectly suited for cocktails such as a rye Manhattan, an old fashioned, and a whiskey sour. The whisky is also delicious when used in recipes such as stews, sauces, and desserts.
